Andreas Meyer-Schwickerath, born in Münster/Westphalia, studied law in Münster, Freiburg, Bonn and Hamburg, finalised with the second state exam in Hamburg in 1982. He is a licensed lawyer under German law.
As part of his international education, he joined the EU as a stagaire and worked at their EU Delegation to the UN in New York.
For over 10 years, he had several management posts in law and finance in the USA, initially as vice counsel in the legal division of Deutsche Bank AG New York, later promoted to its funding and investment banking departments.
In 1990 he joined Daimler Benz Holding in New York, heading their finance cash management department. From 1992, Daimler assigned him with senior management posts in Germany, last as head of public relations for Daimler Real Estate Services (Potsdamer Platz project), a 2.1 bn. euro real estate development project in the centre of Berlin.
After completion of the project, he changed to Delbrück & Co., as senior marketing and PR manager. Since August 2003 he assumed the assignment as director and member of the board of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG e. V.), the largest British-German business network organisation. During his management, the chamber more than doubled its membership to currently around 600 members and more than tripled its turnover and income. He left BCCG e. V. at the end of May 2020.
In June 2020, he has joined Andersen Tax & Legal in their team in Berlin as Of Counsel.
