Detlev Stoecker advises domestic and international investors on real estate transactions across various structures and asset classes, representing both buyers and sellers. His expertise spans the entire transaction process, from structuring and drafting preliminary agreements, including the organisation of tender procedures, due diligence, contract drafting and negotiation, assisting with financing, and managing post-closing agreements. His practice covers both real estate portfolios and real estate development projects.
Another focus of his work is the representation of clients in legal procedures of all kinds, in state courts, as well as in national and international arbitration or mediation proceedings. As a former notary, Detlev Stoecker continues to deal with the drafting and preparation of notarial deeds of all kinds and coordinating cross-border transactions.
From 1973 to 1978, Detlev Stoecker studied law in Berlin. During the later stages of his studies and during his legal clerkship, he worked as a tutor and research assistant at the Institute of Administration and Politics at the Free University of Berlin. The legal clerkship included stations in Berlin, Speyer, and Gothenburg. Following project-based work for the former Federal Health Office, he has been practicing law in Berlin since May 1981 and was appointed as a notary in 1991. Between 1991 and 2000, he served as a supervisory board member of a large municipal housing company. Detlev Stoecker was a partner at Luther and its predecessor firms from January 1993 and has been a partner at Andersen since July 2022.
