Andersen strengthens its Corporate and M&A team with the addition of Katja Weberpals as partner

Beginning in 2026, Katja Weberpals joins Andersen as a partner in the Berlin office, strengthening the Corporate and M&A practice with a particular focus on venture capital transactions. The lawyer and specialist in commercial and corporate law, who joins Andersen from BRL Boege Rohde Luebbehuesen, has more than 20 years of experience in advising on M&A and venture capital matters.

Her practice focuses on start-up financing in all phases (early stage and later stage), in particular by equity and convertible instruments, as well as exits, secondaries, and employee participation schemes. She advises a broad range of participants in the venture capital space, including VC funds, corporate ventures, start-ups, business angels, and founders.

"The Corporate and M&A practice is a central pillar of our national and international practice. At the same time, the venture capital market is one of the key growth industries in Berlin and offers numerous links to other advisory areas – in particular to our interdisciplinary tax team. With Katja Weberpals, we are strengthening our M&A practice in this dynamic environment and continuing on our growth path," explained Philipp Zschaler, managing partner of Andersen in Germany.
